Exciting News!!!!!!!!

I got engaged!!!!

I am so excited, we both are. We are planning a June wedding. With such a short engagement there is much to do. I have jumped right into it. That is why I have been in a bit of a blogging lag, but now that the families have been told, much of the planning and lists can be divided amongst everyone.

The big stuff has already been booked such as the venue and photographer. Now comes all the fun Do-it-yourself stuff. From my bouquet to flower arrangements, I am doing everything myself. I am a frugal and simple person. People look at me like I’m crazy when I say this, but I truly believe I will be able to pull this wedding off for under $3,000!

Now on to the book related topic!

Both of us being a lover of books we have decided to go with a book themed wedding! It will not just be one book, but various love stories and classics incorporated in the wedding some how. The internet, particularly Pinterest has given us a majority of my ideas. I thought I would share some with you! If interested in any of these ideas for yourself or other book lovers you may know, I will put the links below the pictures!

Library Card Invitation, Library Wedding Invitation, Library Baby Shower Invitation, Save The Date. $12.00, via Etsy.

Library Card Invitations! We chose to use these as our save the dates. While you can order these on Etsy, I chose to do them myself.

Literary wedding- instead of table numbers, use the names of famous couples from books.:

I love everything about this picture! Love this idea instead of table numbers, while also using old books for centerpieces! The site had a lot of cute ideas!

How To Have The Best Literary Wedding Ever:

Cute ring holder for the ring bearer! I love this idea. I think it is so cute. my only issue is I don’t know if I have the heart to tear up two books for our ring bearers.

Story Book Ending - Wedding Invitations by Invitation Consultants. (Item # IC-GD-MBT21 ):

Invitations! We chose to go with a “Once upon a time” invitation. We really liked this idea. We plan to incorporate our “story” all throughout the wedding and thought that the invitation would be the best place to start. The only change is we put “Chapter 1” and “The Wedding” at the top of our invites. This can be done various ways.

Planning the perfect book-inspired wedding, from invitations to decorations to flowers to photos to gifts to cakes.:

Bookshelves as wedding arch! We are definitely using this, as we are having an outdoor wedding. I love the idea of bookshelves with books and flowers!

I will also be making paper flowers from old textbooks to go into my crocheted bouquet. I will also be using them for the centerpieces and boutineers.

We have plenty more ideas, but I do not want to bore everyone with my wedding glee. Just thought I would share the good news and ideas for book lovers and their future weddings. 🙂

I would love to hear of any ideas that you guys may have!
